Utagawa Kuniyoshi drew the animals imbued with the daily lives of the people in the Edo period. Their lives look full of humor just like ours of the present day. My imagination is that the funny and cute animals have come out of the museum and into the town. I kept their posing and its original tone of color as they are so that you can enjoy comparing this work with the original. Can you hear what those characters are chattering?
