I love growing plants, watching them closely, and paint them. I picked Katsushika Hokusai’s print “Peony with a Butterfly” for my adaption. A peony is a spring flower and means ‘wealth and nobility’ and ‘splendor’. I created this work in bright and warm spring-like colors, imagining peonies blooming majestically under the sun.
